About Brian Lucia
Brian Lucia enjoys taking nature photographs of all types including wildlife, flowers, animals, insects, and scenic panoramas. He worked as a technician at GAF Corporation for 14 years where he was involved in the manufacturing of film, photographic papers and photographic emulsions. This helped to stimulate his interest in photography even more. He started taking pictures at age 10 with a Kodak Brownie camera that he purchased on a family vacation trip.
While employed by GAF he learned to process black and white films and papers, slides and color prints. During this time he took thousands of pictures. The subject matter was mainly nature photography of upstate New York from the Southern Tier to the Catskills, Adirondacks and the Saint Lawrence River.
He started with traditional cameras and films and then switched to digital photography. Most of his pictures have not been viewed by other than close family members until recently.
My goal is to present the commonplace things of nature in a different perspective. Many of my photos are of insects, trees, forest, rocks, streams, etc. Many times these items are plain in their own right, but seen in different settings and light they become beautiful. I am trying to portray God’s creation at its best. I hope that you will enjoy my photography.
